CIREBA
The Cayman Islands Real Estate Brokers Association (CIREBA) is a not-for-profit association set up in 1987 to provide a professional network for the different real estate companies in the Cayman Islands. Today it provides the Multiple Listing System (MLS) and acts as a central source of information for its members, including the publication of this magazine.
The CIREBA training program covers the important aspects of professional real estate, including agency law and an agent’s duties to their clients and customers, contract law, and a general overview of how real estate operates in Cayman. CIREBA has a strict set of Rules and Regulations and has produced a Code of Ethics to which every member must adhere. These, too, are examined in-depth as part of agent training as CIREBA Members must be aware of and understand what is required of them in terms of business conduct and ethical business practices in their dealings both with members of the public and with other CIREBA Members.
